About Us

Academic Solidarity Institute connects different organizations, universities, people, and ideas across borders. We operate as a platform for dialogue and cooperation between academic institutions and organizations from the world of science, sport, and business.

We support international academic cooperation, student and staff exchanges, and create spaces for dialogue, innovation, and joint action among universities from different countries.

We believe that collaboration and solidarity build modern academia — open, dynamic, and international. Join us to shape the future of education and sport without borders.

A world where academic communities wonder together towards new discoveries, sharing knowledge, experience and passion, and where borders become only an inspiration for shared journeys and mutual understanding.
We connect people and ideas across borders, supporting the internationalization of education and building relationships through collaboration, knowledge, and shared adventures and outdoor activities – where trust, relationships, and true solidarity are born.

The Academic Solidarity Institute exists to bring universities, people, and ideas together across borders. We work to make higher education more open, connected, and internationally engaged by fostering meaningful partnerships, student and staff mobility, and collaborative learning experiences.

We believe that strong academic communities are built not only in classrooms, but also through shared experiences. That is why we combine education with outdoor activities such as sailing, mountain adventures, and skiing — creating opportunities that strengthen teamwork, trust, and intercultural understanding while inspiring personal growth.

Through our work, we aim to build a vibrant global academic community grounded in mutual respect, solidarity, and the free exchange of knowledge, where collaboration extends beyond borders and beyond academia itself.

The Academic Solidarity Institute is a non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering international academic cooperation, strengthening solidarity within the global academic community, and enhancing the educational potential of universities worldwide. The Institute supports the internationalization of higher education by building sustainable partnerships between universities, promoting academic mobility, and creating spaces for the exchange of knowledge and experience. Through our activities, we aim to contribute to building a global academic community based on mutual trust, partnership, and knowledge exchange.

The activities of the Academic Solidarity Institute focus on five key areas:

  1. International education – designing and implementing training programs, workshops, seminars, and initiatives that enhance the competencies of students, lecturers, and administrative staff.
  2. International Student and Staff Mobility – organizing and coordinating mobility programs that enable students, academic teachers, and administrative staff to gain experience abroad, exchange knowledge, and develop professionally.
  3. Building cooperation networks between universities – creating platforms and networks for cooperation between universities from different countries, facilitating joint research projects, educational programs, the exchange of best practices, and the development of strategic partnerships.
The Institute also supports universities in establishing and implementing bilateral and multilateral exchange programs.
  4. Creating an environment conducive & developing a collaborative environment – initiating and moderating international meetings, conferences, and academic forums that foster relationships between universities, research institutions, and social partners. These activities aim to strengthen academic solidarity, promote the value of collaboration, and develop innovative solutions in higher education.
  5. Integration and outdoor activity – initiating and implementing projects that encourage activity and spending time in nature.

Through its initiatives, the Academic Solidarity Institute contributes to the development of an open, collaborative, and solidarity-based academic environment grounded in mutual respect, partnership, and the cross-border exchange of knowledge.

At the Academic Solidarity Institute, we believe that collaboration and friendships are built not only in classrooms and projects, but also through shared experiences and discovery. We believe the strongest connections are built through shared experiences. That’s why we create spaces for activities beyond academia that inspire, integrate, and develop social and teamwork skills. Beyond classrooms and projects, we offer opportunities for sailing, outdoor adventures, and team activities that inspire collaboration, build lasting friendships, and foster intercultural understanding.

Our initiatives include:

  • Sailing and water sports – shared experiences on the water teach cooperation, responsibility, and build strong bonds among participants.
  • Outdoor activities – excursions, field workshops, and team games stimulate creativity, strengthen relationships, and foster intercultural understanding.
  • Team building and integrative events – activities beyond formal academic settings support experience exchange and strengthen partnerships between universities.
  • Field training and workshops – outdoor projects, in the bosom of nature.

We believe that these shared experiences are as important as classroom learning — they create lasting connections, support personal and professional growth, and, most importantly, build an academic community based on collaboration and solidarity.

Join us to explore, connect, and grow — together, both inside and outside academia.
